Portable Summertime Snacks That Won’t Go Bad in Your Bag

As you all know, I am a big snack fan, and always have snacks on hand. Whether walking to the office, meeting clients, or heading to the beach, there is always something tasty in my bag. Veggies, fruit, proteins, and more can be easily stored and are super portable. Here are a few of my favorites:

Yummy Easy to Carry Foods:

Veggies:

Sugar snap peas are delicious and a summer favorite.  So is sliced up cucumber. Both are refreshing and crisp which feels great on a hot day. Toss a handful of sugar snap peas or sliced cucumber in a baggie or container for an easy portable snack.

Fruit:

Fruit is an obvious healthy snack, the great thing is that the summer brings delicious fruits that are easy to toss in our bag – try a plum, nectarine, or a handful of cherries. Yummy!

Nut Butters:

Easy to pack, delicious, and a great burst of protein – nut butters come in a variety of different flavors (chocolate anyone?!?) and you can pick almond butter, peanut butter, or even watermelon seed butter.

Jerky:

Another protein that comes in a wide variety of flavors and sources is jerky. Turkey Jerky, Beef Jerky, Chicken Jerky, and Buffalo Jerky are easy to find and easy to pack in your summer bag. If you like hot and spicy or sweet and tangy – there’s a jerky for you!

Crackers:

These days high fiber crackers can be made out of cauliflower, almond flour, or the more traditional wheat and oats. Find your favorite and stash a handful in your bag for an afternoon snack. Crackers of course pair well with a fruit or a jerky too for a satisfying late afternoon snack if you are planning a night out from the office.

Bars:

There’s nothing better than a yummy bar to have on the go. However, bars are NOT all created equal! Here’s a few we love, loaded with protein and healthy fat to keep you feeling full and satiated.
